These terms cover work you hire RomanThings to do and your use of this website.
What this covers
RomanThings is a one-person studio in Pasco, Washington offering AI services, websites, and laser engraving. When you contact us about a project, the written quote we send you becomes the agreement between us, along with these terms.
Quotes and payment
We give you a fixed quote before any work starts, so you know the full price up front. Common packages are listed on our websites page, but every project gets its own written quote.
Projects start once we receive the deposit stated in the quote. The balance is due when the work is delivered or launched. If you need to pause or cancel a project, tell us in writing; you pay for the work completed up to that point and any costs we already paid on your behalf.
What you own
When a project is paid in full, you own the website content we create for you — the text, images we produce, and the design as delivered. You also own your own logo, photos, and information. We may show finished work on this site and in our portfolio, and we keep our own tools, code libraries, and methods.
Websites we build are usually deployed on hosting you own (such as Netlify or Vercel) in your own account, so your site stays yours even if we stop working together.
Turnaround and revisions
We agree on a timeline in your quote. It depends on how quickly you send content, photos, and feedback. Your quote includes a set number of revision rounds; more rounds or scope changes are quoted separately before we do them.
What we need from you
- Business details, text, photos, logos, and other content you want on the site.
- The right to use that content. You confirm it belongs to you or you have permission to use it.
- Timely feedback so we can stay on schedule.
AI services
AI tools we set up for you (chat assistants, automations, and similar) are tools, not professional advice. We build them carefully and explain what they can and cannot do, but we don't guarantee specific business results, revenue, or search rankings from any AI service or website.
Laser work
Engraving is done on the materials you approve. Natural materials vary, so small differences in tone and grain are normal. We confirm the design with you before engraving; because engraving is permanent, approved designs can't be redone free of charge once cut.
We don't promise search results
We follow good practices for local search, but Google decides where any site appears, and no one can guarantee a specific position or result.
Responsibility
We do this work carefully, but this website and our services are provided as-is. Our total responsibility for any claim connected to a project is the amount you paid us for that project. We're not responsible for things outside our control, or for third-party services you choose to use, such as hosting providers or ad platforms.
Ending work
Either side can end a project or support arrangement with written notice. You pay for work completed so far; we hand over what's been built and paid for.
